De los Santos heads back to the minors with Fernando Cruz coming off the injured list ahead of Tuesday’s game. He allowed four runs over 2 2/3 innings on Monday night against the Nationals.

LAA Shortstop #9

39mZach Neto went 2-for-4 with a walk and a home run in a 4-0 win over the Rangers on Monday.

The home run was on the first pitch of the game off of Jacob deGrom. It was Neto’s 22nd home run of the season and seventh in the month of August. The 24-year-old has battled some injuries this season, but he has more than proved that last year’s breakout was not a fluke. He will finish close to a 30/30 season despite missing games and should be a popular draft target in 2026 drafts.

Andruw Monasterio

MIL Shortstop #14

39mAndruw Monasterio went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI as the Brewers bested the Diamondbacks 7-5 on Monday.

Monasterio, filling in for the injured Joey Ortiz at shortstop, had an RBI single in the third and a 404-foot homer in the fourth. One of several role players to step up in a thus-far incredibly successful season for the Brewers, Monasterio has a .779 OPS in 87 plate appearances. He’ll remain in the lineup regularly while Ortiz is out.

MIL Starting Pitcher #53

39mBrandon Woodruff won Monday despite giving up five runs in 5 2/3 innings against the Diamondbacks.

All of the runs came in the sixth, which included three singles, a HBP and a Lourdes Gurriel Jr. homer. Those runs all came with none out, and Woodruff bounced back to retire two in a row, but he was still pulled with the bases empty and Adrian Del Castillo coming up. Woodruff allowed just one hit over the first five innings and wound up with eight strikeouts in improving to 5-1 with a 3.10 ERA. He’ll get the Blue Jays next.

MIL Relief Pitcher #45

39mAbner Uribe notched his third save with a perfect ninth against the Diamondbacks on Monday.

Trevor Megill had this one off after a tough outing Sunday in his third appearance in four days. Uribe filled in nicely and lowered his ERA to 1.71 in 63 1/3 innings. He’ll likely be down Tuesday, but Megill should be ready then if another save chance arises.

Eduardo Rodriguez

ARI Starting Pitcher #57

39mEduardo Rodriguez recorded just seven outs and gave up five runs Monday in a loss to the Brewers.

Rodriguez allowed six hits to the 14 batters he faced, even though he surrendered only for hard-hit balls and most of the contact against him was on the ground. Fortunately, he didn’t burn out the pen in his shortest outing of the year, as Bryce Jarvis was able to pitch 5 2/3 innings behind him. Rodriguez dropped to 5-8 with a 5.67 ERA, and he’s due to face the Dodgers next.

Adrian Del Castillo

ARI Catcher #25

39mAdrian Del Castillo struck out all four times up as the Diamondbacks’ designated hitter Monday against the Brewers.

The D-backs made it pretty clear during Gabriel Moreno’s absence that they don’t think much of Del Castillo’s defense behind the plate, and if the 25-year-old is going to make it as a first baseman/DH, he needs to do better than this. He’s currently batting .231/.265/372 with two homers and a 30/3 K/BB in 83 plate appearances.

LAA Catcher #14

43mLogan O’Hoppe went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the Rangers on Monday.

The big fly was a 407 foot shot that left the bat at 103.9 mph for his 19th home run of the season. It was also only O’Hoppe’s second home run of the second half. The 25-year-old has not had the breakout season that many were hoping for and has gone just 18-for-82 (.219) in 23 games in the second half with two home runs, six RBI, and a 25/5 K/BB ratio. He’s exclusively a two-catcher league option.

LAA Relief Pitcher #59

48mJosé Soriano threw 5 2/3 shutout innings in a win over the Rangers on Monday, striking out six and walking one.

Soriano allowed just four hits while posting a 20 percent whiff rate and 26 percent CSW. The 26-year-old did a good job of getting ahead with his sinker and four-seamer and then got enough whiffs on the curve and splitter to keep the Rangers off the board. He’ll now carry a 3.85 ERA into a start in Houston this weekend.

TEX Starting Pitcher #48

52mJacob deGrom allowed two runs on three hits in five innings in a loss to the Angels on Monday.

deGrom struck out seven and walked two while posting a 33 percent whiff rate and 28 percent CSW. He struggled to find the zone with his secondaries tonight, but did get plenty of swings and misses on his slider. His velocity remains there, and deGrom can be counted on in every start going forward.
