Weggie Kray

I was reading through a forum and I found a topic called "Tim Vine one-liners". I came across this joke:

"So I met this gangster who pulls up the back of people's pants, it was Weggie Kray."

I'm afraid that I don't get it :p Could anyone explain it to me, please?
Thank you :)

  • You also need to know that Reggie Kray and his twin brother Ronnie were famous East End (of London) gangsters: see this Wiki article.

    It's actually quite a good joke:D

PS I hadn't seen cuchu's edit about Jennie Kray when I wrote this.

I still reckon I've got the right pun!;)

That thread explains a weggie, but not "Weggie Kray". Just in case you haven't heard of the Kray brothers, they were notorious 50s and 60s east London gangsters : Ronnie and Reggie Kray. Hence the gangster connection. All we need to complete the joke is the definition of a "wonnie".
