Kelly, Montgomery also going to Arizona Fall League

The Tampa Bay Rays will have eight players in the Arizona Fall League.

In addition to the six reported last week, pitchers Merrill Kelly and Mike Montgomery will play for the Salt River Rafters, too.

Montgomery is 7-7 with a 4.60 ERA at Triple-A Durham. He was on the disabled list from April 13-May 13. The 24-year-old also went to the AFL in 2010 and was a starting pitcher in the AFL's Rising Stars Game that year.

Kelly, after beginning the season with the Biscuits is 8-4 with a 3.10 ERA for Durham. He was 5-6 with a 4.15 ERA with Montgomery. The 24-year-old has thrown a career-high 152 innings this season, 23 more than he did two years ago for high-Class A Charlotte.

(Infielder Nick Ahmed is also listed as a Tampa Bay player on the Salt River roster. However, he's in the Arizona organization.)
