"Patch of the Week" on NLSC Podcast – Episode #3 :)

This is my personal Gameslider for NBA 2K12. This is by far the most realistic gameplay slider i had played with so I decided to share it to the NLSC community. I've tested these myself over and over again (while trying many other's sliders) and this is the result of that. The CPU feels like a real opponent while their star player shines.

*IMPORTANT: Go to Coach Settings and set both Offense and Defense Playcalling to "Auto". It is important you do this so the CPU opponent runs play all the time.

Thanks for sharing the sliders! (Y) Can I use it with any other rosters like the Albys Roster or UBR? Also.. can I use "Real %" for FT shooting? I dont think shot stick timing should determine your FT % since i can hit 2/2 free throws easily even with a player with a low free throw if I give them a really easy free throw animation. What does clutch factor do, and what's the difference between having it on and off? That's all my questions :)

yes, you can use Real % for FT or shooting type. that's why i put optional next to it. I know some people prefer those and they work well with these slider as well.

clutch factor gives the ability for players like Kobe or Jordan to hit shots under pressure, like they do in real life. it is also known to allow teams who are losing to make a run.

If you've created those on PC, mind sharing the .SLD file with us so that we don't have to manually input them?

Great idea Lefto's, that's why I say "you da man" (Y) Looking forward to trying these. A couple of questions, are the ft's balanced between both teams? It seems like one team always shoots way more ft's than the other. And can you play these on superstar or hof with the same results?

for those people who doesn't feel like manually entering the formula to their settings, a download link to the Game Slider File is now available on the first post to make it easier! Remember to read the important note.

my slider works well with all game difficulties. i tried Hall of Fame against the Heat and it plays really great. the cpu plays very smart and more real. but i recommend pro - all-star if you can't handle the challenge.

just wanted to say, These Slider's are the truth! (Y) i played a Lakers vs Miami 12 min q, at the end of the 1st qtr, dwade and nash was on the bench with 2 fouls! and these were not those silly selfish 2k fouls you see, dwade tried to guard kobe and got 2 fouls, we jumped out on Miami 10-2, well lebron said NO! and ran a 10-2 run dishing the rock and scoring. i couldn't believe it. these are my favorite and wont change, at the end of the first qtr i was down 26-31 good stats for that kind of game with that much star power!, i had to stop the game, just to say ty again. This sliders are almost perfect, thank you for your work! I'd like to suggest a little bit more 3pt percentage and attempt, just like 47/48 in success and 55 in tendencies... Then in a quarter Lebron makes me four offensive rebound + dunk. Here I suggest to decrease offensive rebound or tap-in attempt... Apart from that the game is really nice, thanks again :)

Thanks for the response, I got a few more question regarding this slider

Can I use this sliders even if i am using the .exe by Michaelvlutz49? (MVP AND JD MOD V8- MORE FASTER DEFENSE N OFFENSE MOVES - REGULAR JERSEYS)
I use this .exe because it was recommended by Albys for his roster and slider.. but does your slider work for his Michaelvlutz49's .exe patch too?

here is the link

http://www.moddingway.com/file/22473.html

I also asked if these sliders can be used with other rosters like Albys and UBR (the reason I ask this is because each roster has different ratings and player tendencies.. etc)

and my last question is.. are these sliders also good for people who play lock? That is.. only using one player while the CPU controls your team mates (like My Player or CAL)

the sliders formula are perfect the way they are, trust me i've been through the lab  . it all depends on the player ratings now if they shoot a lot of threes or not. if i put those too high it will feel very arcade like and that's not where i want to go. i don't want every game like their trying to break the most three point made record.. it's perfect the way it is...and for Lebron...well his just being Lebron. he has very good hands ratings and awareness and his capable of doing that. don't worry he won't do that in every game if his going against better offensive rebounder than him.

free24ride1 wrote:Thanks for the response, I got a few more question regarding this slider...

sorry but i currently don't use Michaelvlutz49 or Albys rosters (though i love Albys work). but i wouldn't see a problem if you use my slider. it all depends how they rated their players. my slider purpose is to give you the best realistic basketball experience possible in a video game. but i will tell you that i play with the official and UBR roster.

as long as their player ratings are very realistic, i don't see why not.

These are GREAT sliders. What adjustments should I make for CPU vs. CPU play? It seems to work well but the scoring for a 12 minute game is in the 80's. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!!

try adjusting the difficulty level if you want a higher scoring game, other than that my sliders is pretty much good for a realistic CPU vs CPU play.

Currently using this sliders, one thing I don't like is the FT attempts. I averaged about close 50 when playing and 40 when simming. How can I change that?

Other than that, best sliders I used so far.

you must know how to draw fouls very well to be averaging about 50 FT attempts :P . anyway, i'm aware of the FT attempts when simulating games. when i was studying this specific stat it seems like most good teams would average about 30-40+ FT attempts and the not very good teams about 20-30 FT attempts when simulating....it also depends which teams are match up against each other. i believe it's something to do more with the overall player/team ratings rather than the sliders itself. i tried to get the right formula on the slider but it seems like i get the same results...BUT i did noticed when you lower the difficulty level, there will be fewer 40+ FT attempts when simulating. so that could be your solution.
