Bendtner's fails to grab pizza the action! Striker's card is declined in takeaway
Nicklas Bendtner was involved in a bizarre incident in a Copenhagen takeaway where the Sunderland striker begged other customers for free pizza.
Bendtner's credit card was declined, forcing the on-loan Arsenal forward to ask diners if he could have some of their food instead.
The Denmark international tried to coerce staff to give him the food for free and then tried an age old cliche, according to Danish newspaper Ekstrabladet.
In the Nick of time: Bendtner finally got his pizza - thanks to the generosity of two other customers
Bedntner - who has moved to the Stadium of Light on a season-long loan deal said: 'Don't you know who I am? I can buy the whole pizzeria.'
A member of staff, who did not want to be named, said: 'We told him that it did not matter who he was. If he could not pay, there was no pizza.'
A customer said: 'He was f****** arrogant acted as if he owned the place. All the people just stood and looked at each other and shook their heads over the way he behaved.'
Two female diners eventually stumped up for the multi-millionaire footballer who left soon after in a taxi.
