Hi guys.
I have a 6 year old battery powered RA1 which sounds great but has a severe RF problem where I can hear radio programs. I use it with my sr-80 and sr-325i and they both display the problem.
It's been like that ever since I got it. I was 17 back then, young and naive, and never sought to solve the problem until now. I can just walk around and wave it in the air and it will pick all sorts of interference. It's at its worst when the volume knob is in neutral or when I turn it up to the max. Some days are worse than others.
Is my unit defective or is this a problem with where I live? My warranty is long since expired but will grado still look at it? BTW, I also had it serviced by a local audio shop to resolder a dislocated cable from the battery pack.
Anyone else experienced something like this? Any help is much appreciated.
