Please check the file's md5 value.I just tested once, no problem.

everything is fine with md5. After i flash your recovery it goes directly to your recovery. Everything is fine but later after another reboot, trying to go to recovery gives me that error "shut down or unknown recovery" smt like that. Maybe you could make well explained installation guide+remove old files link because so much files and it is really confusing. For example if i want to flash your root+recovery i need to flash this?

"Fixed wrong cache partition size.
Update CWM Recovery to 2012/10/11 version.
Download,Unrar,Flash cwm-root-note2.tar.md5 via Odin:cwm6-root-n7100.rar"

The new CMW resolve the problem without fix?

First wipe cache on old recovery. (this also should solve)
Then flash new recovery

Yes but works only with auto root package?

1. Wipe cache from recovery.
2. Flash tar from Odin Mobile.

is it correct?

Thanks to chainfire remind me, You are my idol!
I in order to reduce the size of cache.img, using the wrong parameters,I am very sorry.
If you have used "cwm6-root-note2.tar" file(before October 11th). to get root, Your phone cache partition size will only 5M, If your cache partition larger than 100M does not have this issue.
Reboot into recovery, Do "wipe cache" will be able to solve this issue.

Whats is the difference between "N7100" file and "Cwm Recovery & Auto Root" file please?

"N7100" file: CWM Recovery for N7100.
“Cwm Recovery & Auto Root” file: CWM Recovery for N7100 + Root file(auto root)

I guess this should be flashed with Odin... A step by step guide in OP. Is that too much to ask?

Edit: Btw. The Note 2 should have some kind of binary counter. How will this affect that?

reset the flash counter may have to wait for "Triangle Away" update.
