Preparing for today's release...

Hey guys,

we are in the process of creating the final installer file for the release version of OOTP 12. Once that is done, we will run a few final tests and the get the file to our mirror servers.

Then we will compile a list of the pre-order customers and contact you via EMAIL. Once the email is sent to all recipients, I'll post here on the forums, roughly around 2 pm ET. Then please check your email & spam folder and be a little patient as it may take a few minutes, sometimes even longer depending on your email service provider, for the email to reach you. The email will include the download link and download & installation instructions.

OK, that's the plan for today. Please keep your fingers crossed that everything works as planned

So I just pre-ordered since it was still available for pre-order. I'm going to get the email and access to the game at 2 pm ET today along with everyone else that ordered, right?

Today is the only time I will be able to play until Saturday evening due to work. So I'm really hoping I don't get left out of the mailing list since I just pre-ordered.

Don't forget that behind the scenes Markus has been collating a list of the number of 'moaners' per state and that those states with the least moaners will get the game first*

* obviously this is dependent on population of the states to prevent bias against California!

If you've received your purchase confirmation e-mail at the discount price of $29.99 USD, then you're automatically on the e-mail list and will receive the link with the other pre-order customers.

I ordered OOTP12 two and a half ago on the third of June and never recieved an e-mail confirmation, I did print out my reciept. Should I be worring at this point.

My email address changed after I pre-ordered so I won't get the email you're sending out. So how will I be able to receive my download link & install instructions? That's why I started that topic a couple of weeks ago.

It's a bit of the old OOTP magic, waiting for the install file to hit online. I think OOTP 7 was the biggest circus. Man there were tons of people online and the board slowed to a crawl. Those were the days. How ironic because 12 will the 100X the game that those earlier releases were. Can't wait. Thanks Markus for all the pleasure you have given us over the years. You are the Paul McCartney of Baseball sim designers!

No, as long as you have the receipt, you can still license the game. As for receiving the download e-mail notification, if you haven't received it by evening tonight, check your spam folder. If it's not there, then look at:

There's an e-mail address for sales support there on the bottom, they'll be able to help you if the websites listed on that page aren't of any help.

I have the same problem. I've been frantically trying to access my old email account to get my receipt.

If the information on the post-sale webpage isn't of any help, there's an e-mail link to OOTP Sales at the bottom. Just send them an e-mail with details, such as order date and the e-mail address you used then, and they'll try to help you out.
